JACK MILTON SIRES HIS FIRST FOAL!

Jack Milton, a G1-winning Miler by War Front, has sired his first foal born Jan. 30, 2017. The colt, bred by David J. Lavoie, is out of Indy Gold (A.P. Indy), who is a daughter of the G3-winning mare Tennis Lady ($283,048).

“He’s a big, beautiful, long-legged colt. I’m very impressed!” said Lavoie.

Jack Milton raced in the silks of Gary Barber and was campaigned by Todd Pletcher. He retired sound as a Graded stakes winner at three, four, and five after 19 career starts at eleven different tracks and with earnings of $853,828.  Jack Milton notched his Grade 1 win in the Keeneland Maker’s 46 Mile, captured two other Graded victories and also placed in an additional six graded Stakes, three of them Grade 1 races.

FIRST MARES CONFIRMED IN FOAL TO JACK MILTON

Jack Milton, the only Grade I winning son of War Front retired to stud in 2016, had his first two mares confirmed in foal last week.

One of those mares, Miss Louisiana (by Miswaki), is the dam of Cajun Schill (by Artie Schiller), a Stakes winning two year old of $211,660 who won the 2015 $300,000 Calumet Farm Juvenile S. at Kentucky Downs.

GRADE 1 WINNING MILER JACK MILTON RETIRING TO CRESTWOOD FARM IN 2016!

Grade I winning miler Jack Milton, by War Front, will enter stud at Pope McLean’s Crestwood Farm in Kentucky for the 2016 season. Jack Milton raced in the silks of Gary Barber and was campaigned by Todd Pletcher. He retires sound as a Graded stakes winner at three, four, and five after 19 career starts at eleven different tracks and with earnings of $853,828. Jack Milton notched his Grade 1 win in the Keeneland Maker’s 46 Mile, captured two other Graded victories and also placed in an additional six graded Stakes, three of them Grade 1. Gary Barber and Pope McLean will stand Jack Milton in partnership in a deal brokered by McCann Bloodstock and Bluewater Farm.

Bred by Seth Hancock’s Cherry Valley Farm, Jack Milton is out of the Forty Niner mare Preserver and is a full brother to Graded Stakes winner Peace Preserver and traces to the important Claiborne mare Bourtai.

“We are absolutely thrilled to bring Jack Milton to Crestwood,” said Pope McLean. “He will be the only Grade 1 winning son of War Front to retire this year and he has the co-fastest Ragozin number, a 2, for any son of War Front standing at stud. He is from a huge female family and is also a very nice physical. We are confident that he will be well received by breeders.”

He will stand for a fee of $6,500 LFSN. Jack Milton will participate in the “Share the Upside” program at Crestwood Farm. Please call the farm for more information.
