Another Graded Stakes Win for GET STORMY!

GET SMOIN was a Graded Stakes Winner at the age of 3 winning the G2 Hill Prince S. at Belmont, and he is now a Graded Stakes Winner at the age of 4. GET SMOKIN sat just off the pace in 2nd and pounced on the leader on the turn into the stretch and arrived mid-stretch with a 3 length lead. GET SMOKIN went on to win the Grade 3 Tampa Bay S. going 1 and 1/16 miles in 1:40.75. The time was just one second off the track record record.

GET SMOKIN (Get Stormy – Hookah Lady, by Smoke Glacken) was bred by Hurstland Farm Inc and James Greene Jr. GET SMOKIN was purchased as a yearling at the FTK Oct sale from the Hurstland Farm consignment by Taproot Bloodstock, agent for Mary A. Sullivan.

GET SMOKIN wins G2 Hill Prince

After being Multiple Graded Stakes placed, GET SMOKIN breaks through and takes the field gate to wire in to G2 Hill Prince at Belmont Park.

GET SMOKIN set all the fractions over the turf course labeled yielding, and fought off G1 Winner Decorated Invader to notch is his first Graded Stakes victory.

GOT STORMY adds another GSW to her resume

Got Stormy started slow and and finished with a flurry to win the G3 Buffalo Trace Franklin County Stake at Keeneland. Got Stormy has proven to be a versatile filly winning Graded Stakes races at 5 1/2 Furlongs, 6 1/2 Furlongs and 1 Mile.

Got Stormy is a Multiple Grade 1 Winner and is now a 5 time Graded Stakes Winner with earnings of nearly $2 Million. She was bred by Mt Joy Stables, Pope McLean, Marc McLean, and Pope McLean Jr. Got Stormy was also foaled, raised and sold by Crestwood Farm.

SECOND OF JULY (Jack Milton) wins G3 Futurity Stake at Belmont Park

Second of July, an undefeated 2YO by Jack Milton earned his spot in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint with a victory in the G3 Futurity S. at Belmont Park. Second of July was off the pace in the early stages of the race and was guided into the clear by jockey Dylan Davis in the stretch and Second of July rallied past the field to win clear.

Second of July is trained by Phil Gleaves and is owned and bred by Bryan Hilliard.

Tobys Heart is an exciting 2YO filly for Sophomore sire Jack Milton. On debut Tobys Heart was named a TDN Rising Star after a dominating 6 3/4 length MSW win at Churchill Downs. Tobys Heart was an odds on favorite in the Bolton Landing Stake and proved best while pulling away from the field at the wire.

No Bull Jack, F, 3YO, Jack Milton–Lost Crown, by Hit the Trail. No Bull Jack was out of the gate slowly from the rail, rushed up inside to contend, then dueled with rival.  Around the turn, No Bull Jack lengthened her stride and pulled away from the field impressively to win by 10 ½ lengths.

1st-Lone Star, $40,120, MSW, 2YO, 5F DIRT

 WARLOCK DOC C, 2, Jack Milton–Destiny’s Reward, by Horse Chestnut (SAF). Warlock Doc won his debut via disqualification.  Warlock Doc broke from post 10 advanced on the outside down the backstretch to stalk the pace.  Warlock Doc continued to improve his position as the pacesetter, Spotted Bull, drifted and bumped him late. Spotted Bull held on by a head, but had his number taken down for the infraction.
