GRADE 1 WINNING MILER JACK MILTON RETIRING TO CRESTWOOD FARM IN 2016!

Grade I winning miler Jack Milton, by War Front, will enter stud at Pope McLean’s Crestwood Farm in Kentucky for the 2016 season. Jack Milton raced in the silks of Gary Barber and was campaigned by Todd Pletcher. He retires sound as a Graded stakes winner at three, four, and five after 19 career starts at eleven different tracks and with earnings of $853,828. Jack Milton notched his Grade 1 win in the Keeneland Maker’s 46 Mile, captured two other Graded victories and also placed in an additional six graded Stakes, three of them Grade 1. Gary Barber and Pope McLean will stand Jack Milton in partnership in a deal brokered by McCann Bloodstock and Bluewater Farm.

Bred by Seth Hancock’s Cherry Valley Farm, Jack Milton is out of the Forty Niner mare Preserver and is a full brother to Graded Stakes winner Peace Preserver and traces to the important Claiborne mare Bourtai.

“We are absolutely thrilled to bring Jack Milton to Crestwood,” said Pope McLean. “He will be the only Grade 1 winning son of War Front to retire this year and he has the co-fastest Ragozin number, a 2, for any son of War Front standing at stud. He is from a huge female family and is also a very nice physical. We are confident that he will be well received by breeders.”
