First 2YO Winner for HEART TO HEART

Heart to Heart was represented by his first 2 Year-Old winner, Ham Sandwich (Heart to Heart – Voodoo Lounge, by Pleasant Tap) on Saturday (July 15, 2023) at Ellis Park. Ham Sandwich, bred by Laura McKinney and trained by Ken McPeek, raced on the inside and moved up to challenge the leaders along the far turn and drew away powerfully to win by 7 1/2 lengths. Ham Sandwich completed the 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:18 over a sloppy track.
